Closet Cleaning

Hey,

how are you? I hope you had all a nice weekend.
Here in Basel it's definitely spring now, no sign of winter left.(More or less) conveniently, I finished my latest knitting work: Another pair of simple, black gaiters:

Well, sooner or late winter and cold temperatures will come back eventually, so I'll just put them into my accessoires box where they can stay during summer (^.-)

Besides that, I also cleaned my closet a little and updated my sales! So, if you've got some money left, have a look =)

Some Little Thank You

just a rather random post about stuff that has accumulatet during the last few weeks (^.^)

First of all, thank you so much for already 86 readers! Wow! This blog is surely fun to write, but it motivates me even more to write something interesting for you!

As you surely have noticed, I've changed my blog a little. The sales post and the What is Lolita post I've already introduced, and I added an about me post, too. There's not much written about me because I have no idea what you guys would like to know about me, so please feel free to ask or tell me whatever you like!
I also wonder how you like my blog in general. What do you like to read about? Anything you'd like me to cover or you're not really interested? I made a poll for you to vote on the right side (-.^)

Then, regarding to my resolution to take more outfit pictures, I created an account on Lookbook. Some of you maybe know the site, I love browsing through the beautiful pictures and getting inspired (*.*)

Last but not least, somesthing I wanted to write about ages ago and which really delighted me.

A Visit At The Castle

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend!
I had, despite the nasty weather, because we had another Lolita Meet-up yesterday!
We went to the castle of Lenzburg, which is rather small but really beautiful. It was a shame it was raining, so we couldn't take pretty pictures in the lovely garden, but nevertheless it was so nice to see everyone again (and especially Aya, who studies in Berlin and who I have really missed (*.*) )

Yesterday, after I was done with all my homeworks and didn't have anything else to do, I dressed up a little and took some pictures with the self-timer (^.^)

Box Pleat Jsk

Hi my dears,

I know, life can be very hard and unfair, sometimes.

But sometimes, there is a bright spot, every now and then, that makes life worthy. For me, even small things can lighten up my day. A favourite song in the radio. The slight impression of changing seasons in the air.
Or a piece of beautiful, awesome, perfect fabric on sale:

This red-green-offwhite check fabric was made for a simple jsk with broad box pleats and square neckline, don't you think so too?

First, I wanted to line the bodice, but there wasn't enough fabric, so I just made a border. You can also see the overlock seams and the invislible zipper which I sewed in by hand.

Curled Hair

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a nice time hunting easter eggs and eating chocolate bunnys (^.^)

As I promised, after a long time, I'm trying to take outfit photos again:

I'm having fun trying out new hairstyles for my horrible hair, yesterday I put in hair rollers and today I had pretty curls (^.^). Unfortunately, they didn't stay that pretty all day long...

Hi cuties,

I wish you all a beautiful easter and I hope you can enjoy the holiday and (hopefully) nice spring weather.
I will be at my mother's during easter, and also is it my 20th birthday on friday (yay! I personally like birthdays (^.^) what about you?), so I won't be blogging for the next few days. I'm sorry there hasn't been much of sewing or fashion here lately, but I'm planning to post more after the holiday and also resume taking outfit posts.
So, until then, have a nice elongated weekend!



Accessoires

I've been tagged (again...), this time by Pikku Mansikka from Frills&Strawberries and now I'll show you my favourite accessories!

Bag:

My red wine doctor bag from Loris. I like everything about it: the colour, the shape, the cute yet elegant style...

Shoes:

Red maryjane pumps by Pin Up Couture. I don't wear them too often, because I'm a little afraid to break them - they're just so pretty!

Shawl/Scarf:

I'm not much of a scarf-wearer, but when it's really cold outside, I like to put on this one, since the material is incredibly soft and comfy.

Necklace:

Probably this mirror necklace I bought at New Yorker and altered a little. I love all the ornaments and the tiny real mirror.

Ring:

That was a hard one, since rings are my favourite accessorie and so I have a lot of rings, but my two favourites are probably these two. The silver one is subtle but goes perfectly with my normal gothic/lolita inspired style I wear on weekdays, while the black rose ring is the perfect combination of opulence and the beauty of roses.

Earrings:

I wear these cute earrings from New Yorker quite often.

Bracelet:

I normally don't wear any bracelet, but this one by claire's has it's own special history, I got it ages ago from a very dear friend of mine.

Perfume:

I don't wear perfume, but I like the Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist by The Body Shop.

Naipolish:

At the moment this silver sparkly one by essence.

Hair accessory:

A black headbow by Innocent Wold. It's black and cute, so perfect for me (^.^)
