so of course, had to get some fabrics: purple gabardine with zipper, pretty check fabric and comfy bright viscose fabric (both on sale), some buttons for my knitted cardigan and gold chain for another project...

how are you? I'm sorry for not posting anything lately, university keeps me quite busy these times. At least I managed to take some pics (*.*) Enjoy!

 Needed some easy reading material, and what can I say, this book is really awesome! Read it in two days, I can recomend it to anyone who likes black humour (^.^)

Do you know Kai Meyer? I love the language and the writing style. Finally got the third volume of the Arkadien-series

Had an idea for this years christmas presents, which included collecting patchwork fabrics (yes, I know I'm early, and no, they don't have to mach all together)

A lot of red tartan fabric and a selection of white lace - can you guess what I'm planning to sew?

Concert tickets! Twice for two of my current favourite bands and once for next years Greenfield Festival

Up In The Sky, Nothing Is Insane

Hey sweeties,

I hope you're all doing well. Here, it's incredibly hot, so all I'd like to do is staying inside all day long (or in our non-existent swimming pool...)

So since I'm not really up to something right now, I'm afraid today's post not too interesting, I'm sorry. But there are some sewn things lying around which need to be ironed and photographed, so as soon as I have the motivation, I'll show you.

So, then. There have two parcels arrived.
One was from e.l.f.:

I was mainly interested in the eyeshadow base, but because I had to pay shipping costs anyway, I also got some eyeshadow and nail polish. If anyone is interested in a review, let me know.

The second parcel was from romwe.com:

I love how cute the items are wrapped! That's what was inside:

Cute silver butterfly earrings, a snake shaped ring and a merry-go-round necklace. The latter's got real tiny dangling horses on it, it's really the cutes thing I've ever seen!

Last week, I also got some crafty stuff:

Beautiful fabric, which I'll turn into a jsk, and some embroidery thread, which matches extremely well with the fabric but which I'm going to use for another project.

So, that's it for today!

National Crisis

...because the greatest fashion designer still existing on this planet won't work for Dior ever again. I was absolutely inconsolable. After smashing our best porcelain and spending a week locked in my bedroom crying, I finally found enough strengh to blog again (ok, I'm just a little drama queen. In fact, I just kept going normally to school like everyone else). I just hope I'll find another inspiration for elegant, mature and lady-like fashion...

Nevertheless, there are also some good news (as hard as it may be for you to believe). I got some very nice and beautiful lace - for free! I especially love the purple one. I already have quite a lot ideas for it, but they're not perfect yet. Maybe for a skirt or a jsk? We will see. About the red one, I'm not sure what to do with it, as I normally don't wear anything red. Probably it's time for a wardrobe makeover...

Then I bought a bit a lot of fabric - very light, soft gabardine in black. I'm going to make a Gothic Lolita jsk with it. Since I was unable to find nice lace or trimming in black, I decided to cover it up with ruffles, so that's why I bought 3 meters (as a precaution). I love gabardine, because it's lightly elastic, it falls really beautiful and you never have to iron it.

The new burda style was unavoidable - how might I reisist a bridal special? Not that I'm going to be married ever, but the patterns are just so lovely.

The last bit of my money, I spend on socks. The sock-obsession seems to be a very popular malady in the Lolita scene (^.^) at least, I don't know a Lolita that doesn't like socks or tights, and so do I. I bought white knee socks - actually, I prefer overknees or tights, but I realized that it's almost impossible to find white opaque tights. Or does anyone of you have tip for me? I needed them because I'd like to make a classic Sailor coord with my new maritime deux-pièce.

Teaser

This is going to be great, I promise!

But before I can finish it, I'm waiting for a farbic order on the one hand, and, on the other hand, I have to slide in another project. I have an own notebook now (my first notebook, only for me! Love it), but instead of buying a laptop bag, I had the glorious idea of sewing one. So it won't be an ordinary one, I'm going to lolify it (^.^). It'll be pink. Oh yeah!

When I bought these (lace and zipper were reduced, yay!), I also bought this lovely white cotton, an oddment. I'm thinking about maybe sewing a shiro jsk. Or, at least, a skirt. (I just notice I have already quite a long to-sew-list. Anyone interested if I posted it?)

Then I found these two darlings in a thrift shop. They now store some of my jewellery and accessoires.

Idioten Kaufen Einfach Alles

Yes, I was today at IKEA. But don't worry, I really didn't buy much, only some Ditte and Bomull fabric and some of these delicious perfumed candles. I was actually looking for some normal ones, too, but they only had white and red ones, but I think I'll stick to black candles. Tant pis, like this my purse stayed more or less unharmed xD.

Geschenkt und etwas weniger teuer

Geschenkt bekommen hab ich gaanz tolle Spitze *hach* Insgesammt wohl um die 20 m, ganz genau gemessen hab ich nicht. Ist sie nicht toll? Die oberste ist eigentlich rosa, die andern beiden weiss.

Dann war ich noch im Urlaub im Tirol (fragt nicht). Da sind dann alle immer im Dirndl rumgelaufen o_O.

Ich meine, das ist wohl so ein sich erfüllendes Klischee, aber man sieht echt viele Frauen und Mädchen im Dirndl und auch ziemlich viele Männer in Lederhosen (brr).

Das war aber auch sehr inspirierend. Und manche der Gewandungen ware auch sehr hübsch anzuschauen.

Ausserdem war ich in einem Trachten-Dirndl-Näh-Wolle-Stoff-Kurzwaren-wasauchimmer-Laden. Sprich, die hatten da alles, wirklich alles. Und soooo schönne Stoffe *sabber*. Gekauft habe ich Knöpfe, ein bisschen Posamentenborte und ein Stück Halbseide. Ich kaufe sonst ja eigentlich nie Seide, denn es ist zu teuer und meiner Meinung moralisch äusserst grenzwertig vertretbar. Aber es war ein soo schönes Stück (ich habe solchen Stoff noch nie gesehen!!) und ausserdem runtergestetzt. Ich meine, 150x40 cm für 16 Euro, wer kann da widerstehen??

Der Stoff ist in Wirklichkeit dunkelgrüner und goldener. Mir spuckt da schon seit Längerem ein projekt im Kopf rum, und das könnte der Anfang sein...

...war ich viiiel zu viel shoppen. Damit ist jetzt dnn wieder Schluss, ich muss doch sparen. Aber ich bin anscheinend sehr leicht manipulierbar. Wozu sonst schreit mich gerade überall SALE SALE SALE an?

Fangen wir mal mit meinen Lieblingen an: Schuhe

"nicht so hohe", ha ha. Inzwischen trage ich ja oft und gerne hohe Schuhe, mit Tendenz nach oben... also ein Paar sehr süsse Schottenkaroschuhe, heissen sehr treffend "schoolgirl". Bin ich ja auch noch.

Juhu, meine allerersten Bordello Teeze. Bei den Schleifchen konnte ich natürlich nicht widerstehen. Obwohl äusserst bequem, werden es wohl eher Kinoschuhe bleiben, lange und weit gehen liegt nicht drin.

Dann gabs in erwähntem Ausverkauf drei Shirts. Bei den Preisen...ich sag mal, es war einfach stärker als ich. Ist doch ne gute Ausrede^^

Dann waren wir noch bei Ikea. Da hb ich mich gleich noch mit etwas Stoff eingedeckt. Bomull und schwrze Ditte hab ich noch ziemlich viel da, also hab ich mich mal mit "elfenbeinfrabener" Ditte versucht. Sah ja im Lden doch eher gelbstichig aus, ist bei Sonnenlicht aber ganz okay. Dazu noch weiss-blau-gestreifte BW und diese süssen Muffins-Küchentücher. Mal schuen, wozu die dann missbraucht wird.

Uuh. Zum Glück noch nicht. Dafür mein neustes Werk^^ Ausgangslage war dieses schöne Kunst-Waschleder. Das Foto trifft den Farbton recht genau, vielleicht noch einen Tick dunkler.

Normalerweise bin ich nicht so der Typ für Rot. Bis jetzt zumindest nicht, meine Mama meinte aber, dass es mit gut stehen würde. Hmm. Ist jedenfalls ein kleiner Farbtupfer in meinem Kleiderschrank.

Da fällt mir auf, in letzter Zeit war ich doch Farbtechnisch ziemlich auf Abwegen, was sich aber bald ändert. Ich hab Sehnsucht nach schwarz *heul*

So, genug rumgeheult. Der Rock sitzt übrigens in der Tallie. Venus war da etwas anderer Meinung.

Dann war ich noch ein bisschen Einkaufen. Einmal Spitzenstoff (natürlich ein runtergesetztes Reststück)

...und noch mehr Spitze. Die schwarze kommt wahrscheinlich ans nächste oder übernächste Korsett, die rosa Spitze vielleicht zu dem Projekt, ist aber noch nicht sicher, denn ich hab mich an Baumwollspitze versucht. Früher konnte ich nicht so viel damit anfangen, es erinnerte mich irgendwie an verstaubte Oma-Tischdeckchen. Aber inzwischen finde ich die Plastikspitzen auch nicht mehr soo toll.

ach, lang lang ist's her, seit ich da war... habt ihr mich vermisst? wahrscheinlich nicht. wie auch immer.

so richtig fleissig war ich nicht, darum gabs auch nicht gross was zu erzählen. aber immerhin zu einer bluse hat es gereicht: ohne nichts:

mit improvisierter samtschleife. da kommt mal noch ein richtiges teil hin, denke ich:

ursprünglich war es ein burda-schnitt, gaanz einfach. die kragenform habe ich verändert, weil ich einen runden kragen wollte, und puffärmel drangemacht. auf dem foto sehen letztere irgendwie ziemlich bescheuert aus, wenn das jemand mit armen (also ich) trägt, siehts wesentlich besser aus, glaube ich. sonst macht sich das gummiband selbstständig...

uuuund shoppen war ich. dabei brauchte ich noch bänderkram für mein nächstes projekt (welches wohl wieder ziemlich auf sich warten lassen muss): den stoff befand sich schon in meinem besitz, ist eigentlich patchwork-stoff, der wird aber umprogrammiert zum rock-stoff. ich hab schon eine vorstellung wie das dann wird, skizze usw folgt. jedenfalls gibts schleifchen (in rosa!!ich!!)

und weils so schön war nahm ich noch gleich spitze und breites samtband mit. davon kann man ja nie genug haben...

na gut, wahrscheinlich habe ich es in letzte zeit übertrieben, was stoffkaufen betrifft. *seufz* ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen, ausserdem schwebt mir eine riesen-to-sew-list vor. wie auch immer, in nächster zeit heisst es dann sparen, was mir eigentlich nicht ungelegen käme. nun, der stoffberg, der auf verarbeitung wartet:

von oben nach unten:
sagenhafte 8 m schwarzer tüll
1 m satin-artiges mit blumemuster ( wie nennt sich das?)
2 m normaler baumwollsatin
2 m hellgrauer blusenstoff, leider äusserst knitterfreudig
1 m schwarzer crash
1 m weinrotes waschleder-imitat (sieht in echt weniger orange aus)
2 m graumelierter jersey
2 m elastischer irgendwas, sehr angenehm anzufassen

1 m mit rosen
2 m allerhübschester jersey mit schwarz-lila rosemmuster
