Monochrome

Hi my dears,

yesterday, I went to se an exhibition and therefore decided to doll up a little. I went for a black x white coord with bat theme and felt quite comfortable (^.^)

Outfit rundown:
Alice band: Innocent World
Blouse: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Corset: handmade by me
Skirt: handmade by me
Shoes: Demonia
Bag: handmade by me

As this coord remined me a little bit of old school Lolita, I also straightened my hair. It grew quite long, I was astonished myself!

Second Life

Hi dolls,

I recently found an old pillow cover, made of a very nice cotton satin in a lovely mint colour (Mint! Again!).
I decided to sew something with it, because I only had the pillow cover and not the whole set. First, I thought of a corset, but then I realized that I could really use another pair of bloomers! You can't have enough bloomers if you wear Lolita often.

A little crumpled

I made them really simple, without any ruffles or decoration. Just a little bow to see which side is front, makes it easier to put them on when you're in a hurry (^.-)

Home Is Where My Sewing Machine Is

Hi dolls,

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend?
I certainly did, I moved my sewing stuff to my new home, yay! (^.^)

ready to go

So of course, I had to sew something right away (*.*). This time not for the shop, but for me. Or so was the intention.
I had a piece of beautifully rose-patterned fabric left over, which would be just enough for a dress. I've been inspired by Classic Lolita Onepieces a lot lately, so I wanted to head for something like that. Hovewer, I somehow underestimated the effect of the fabric. I'm not completely sure if I like the outcome:

Collar, cuffs and ruffles at the hem are made of white cotton, completed with a row of large rose buttons at the front. Additionally, I put an invisible zipper in the side.

the dress fits me better than the dummy

I made shirring in the back, too. It's the first time I do that with a onepiece dress, but it turned out surprisingly well.

What do you think?
I'm really not sure if I want to keep it this way, or change something...

Pink

(Haha, I just realised that pink rhymes with ink. Never noticed that before xD )

Anyways, technological progress reached me too, I finally got myself a smartphone! The good news are that it's pink (^.^)

What about that hitchhikers guide now?

I'm still a little confused about how everything works...
But I needed a nice phone case, so naturally I sewed one! Some of you might recognise the fabric, I once made a skirt with it (long long time ago).

I wanted to make the closure with velcro first, but I only had black one at home, that would have been horrible with the pink fabric. So instead I used this flower-shaped button. Initially, I was worried it might be inpractical to use a button, but it turns out it's not that inconvenient, so I think I'll keep it this way (^.^)

please ignore the stray thread...

Ink

Hi my dears,

last friday, I got my very first tattoo! I was very excited (^.^)

Mine. For ever.

I knew about the motive for ages, but never really had the courage... but now I finally, finally have some everlasting ink on my right arm and I'm so super happy with it!

Gingham Skirts

Hi dolls,

I made two new skirts for my etsy shop!
They're both one-of-a-kind and very ruffly (^.^) It's almost spring here, I guess that's reflected in the design...

Minty Pleasures

Hi my dears,

I must sadly report that I bought something, again (>.<).
I was knitting another set of hat and gloves, this time in mint, when I saw that adorable cardigan. It's in mint too, super soft, waist length (which makes it perfect to wear with my Lolita dresses and skirts) and on sale. How could I have resisted?
After I was quite obsessed with lavender in the past, with spring coming I switched to mint. In the meantime, I finished knitting, so here's the whole set:

The cardigan is a little more green than the wool I used for knitting.
Since it's quite warm here already, I probably won't use the gloves until next fall, but I liked the pattern so much I wanted to try it. It's the Very Cably Mittens pattern from ravelry. They turned out not too bad, however, the pattern makes them quite short. That's not a problem for me, I have rather small hands. Hovever, if you plan to make them too, maybe see if you need to make them longer.

For the hat, I used the Rose Trellis Beret pattern, also from ravelry. Mine is a lot more knobbly than the original, probably because I used different wool than proposed. It's the same I took for the lavender set, Madeleine from Buttinette in mint.

The pattern is very delicate and detailled. There are even leaves in the pattern included! I learned some new stitches, and also how to crochet roses. I made two different types, the one in the middle is slightly bigger than the surrounding roses.

I'm looking forward to wear my new things (^.^)
