Some of you may know that Bibian Blue is one of my very favourite corset designers. Recently, she released the pictures of her latest collection called Lovelace Boudoir (it's such a beautiful name for a corset collection, isn't it?).

Caterpillar Girls

It's already quite long ago, but maybe you remember our Lolita meetup in December where some tv people accompanied us? Recently, another article popped up. You can read it here. I think the viedo is very nice made, I especially love the music.

But I don't agree with the article itself. They considered a psychologist (something that seems to be very popular when it's about journalists to write about Lolita), according to whom we all have a so-called Cinderella-complex, which means we want to freeze the time, so we can be forever a little girl, daddys princess.

Well, this may be true for some of us, but not for me. I sew Lolita clothes, because they unite everything I love, and it gives me infinitively many possibilities to let out my creativity. So why shouldn't I also wear them? So, for me it's a hobby, maybe one day my profession, and as much as I look up to livestyle Lolitas (oh yes, I do), and as wonderful it might me to be a little girl again sometimes, I still want to become adult (in fact, I probably should already be adult xD).

So, enough of my mind tangles, since this already has been discussed for many many times. Tea and cake for everyone?

Inspiring Sunday: Where's the lady's maid to tie my corset?

I'm sorry, I neglected the Inspiring-Sunday-posts a bit, but I'll try to do one every week. Today, my inspiration comes from one of my favourite corset and lingerie shops: FairyGothMother. I don't own a corset from there, but they make really beautiful things.

Adding Lilac To My Wardrobe

Yesterday, I went to the cinema and saw Rapunzel in 3D. I'm still not really convinced of it, but the film was very good, I laughed and cried both. This is what I was wearing:

Today, I went shopping and spent ways too much money.

First, I bought this wonderful vintage skirt. So far, lavender or lilac was not pesent in my wardrobe, which I'd like to change a bit. I mean, it's such a wonderful colour! The skirt is too short to wear with Lolita, and I'll have to take it in, but the print is so adorable!

Then I made the obligatory side trip to H&M, where I got two pairs of bright lace tights, a cute bow belt and some silver hair clips, everything on sale (yay!).

The two omnious things on the right are sewing machine foots: a Teflon foot and, finally, a ruffle foot! I'm so glad I have one now, so my life will be soooo much easier from now on xD.

Talking about the ruffle foot, there are two bigger sewing projects in my mind, where it will take an important role. For those who are curious, here's a little hint for one of the projects:

Now I'll only have to find some pretty buttons... guess what I'm planning?

Country Love Part III

(Ok, this time it could also be Sweet. Or Classic. Or Casual. Or...) In fact, this was not planned. But when I saw this beautiful fabric, I just couldn't resist (hm, I can't remember there was someone talking about minimizing fabric mountains. Do you? xD). And I think you can't have enough boleros, since a bolero is wonderfully practical, you can wear your favourite shirts also in winter with it, it gives every outfit a new look and it's just like made for Lolita fashion. Here, we have a very light jersey which looks like knitted. The colour is rather a light cream than offwithe.

Country Love Part II

Beside the Country style, there's another thing I absolutely adore about Lolita fashion; mini hats. So why not connect these two? This time, I bought the little straw hat and the little dior roses (I'm not sure how they're called in English, maybe someone knows...?). Then I added ruffles made from the very last leftovers of the fabric I used here and some lace. I chose white lace so I can wear the hat also with white, I imagine this blouse might look pretty with Country Lolita.

Country Love Part I

Ok, back to Lolita sewing (^.^)

As you already may have noticed, I'm highly in love with Country Lolita, so I felt like sewing a County Lolita skirt. Currently, I try to decimate my fabric mountains a bit, so I took the remaining bit of the cream fabric I used for the highwaist skirt and a cotton fabric with really lovely flower borders I once bought half a year ago. The lace on the hem is from the fabric market in Berlin <3 .="" div="">

Since I made the front slightly shorter than the back (which is physically based xD) the skirt looks like it hangs somehow strange, but I think this is no problem when I wear it.

Adoring Steampunk

Once upon a time, I promised you something about a steampunk outfit. And, halleluja!, here it is. My sister was so kind to take some pictures (I wouldn't speak about a photoshooting, since I'm no good model nor do I own a really good camera). It was kind of fun, althought is was freaking cold. It was not easy that the pictures wouldn't turn out too overexposed and I tried to edit them a bit.

I also took some pictures on the dress form, so details can be seen a bit better. The outfit consists of blouse, corset, skirt, overskirt and hat.

Satin Au-Dessous

Looks like I'm growing up. Or at least, I try becoming more like a lady xD. Due to this, I happened to sew an underskirt. I once had one, which was too long and uncomfortable, so this one turned out quite short, but for this I can wear it under most of my skirts. I used black satin and some elastic lace for the hem.
