Bonjour mes chéries,

(don't worry, I change back to English)
After Ette complimented me about the shirt I wore when I saw her last time (thanks a lot, btw) and told me about looking for a rest of chiffon in her fabric stock, I remembered being indeed owner of such a rest myself.
It was about 2 meters of some nude coloured (?) chiffon which I've originally bought for my steampunk outfit, but wouldn't fit in anymore. So it kept lying around until now:

I used most of the fabric for the sleeves (-.-). The rest of the shirt is, as you can see, sheer, so I definitely have to wear something underneath, but I tried to achieve a somehow flowing, romantic look.

For a little extra decoration, I made two chiffon flowers and sewed them onto the neckline.

Inspiring Sunday: Lena Hoschek

Today, I introduce another of my favourite fashion designers.

Lena Hoschek is a young woman from Graz, Austria. After her degree in fashion design in Vienna and an internship in London at Vivienne Westwood's, she started her own Label in 2005.

Beside her very elaborate Dirndls, she also makes beautiful feminine and fifties-inspired clothes and dresses which are both playful and ladylike.
So let's have a look at her current fall/winter-collection 2011/12, and, since I like them so much, also some pieces of the upcoming spring/summer-collection 2012.

The Sky Is Blue

Hey my darlings,

I wish you all a wonderful day and I hope that the sky in your lives is as blue as in mine (^.^).

I have good news; yesterday I was in Basel at the university and got registered, so I'm officially a college student now xD. I can't wait moving to this wonderful city and study there! *being exited*

When I came home, a parcel had arrived for me, another order from Qutieland I've been looking forward to recieve.

That's what was inside. For a better overview some stock photos:

Two blouses, one with high collar and a bowtie, the other one with a round collar and restained ruffles, both in black.

A basic skirt in black.

A doctor styled bag in wine red (it's actually the same I already own in white, I just love this bag so much. Do you think that's creepy?).

And a headband in black.

That was the Lolita part of the shopping xD.

Yeah, there is more (I'll end up totally broken...)

A white summer dress with cute lace and a navy blue mini skirt with convenient pockets. But hey, they were on sale - I paid *calculate* only 26% of the original price! (^.^)

Then I got the Donald Duck Summer Special Edition:

Well, you probably think *wtf* but I've always been a big fan of western comics (more than of asian comics, I must confess) and anyway, I got it in the first place because of the interview with the german band Die Ärzte.

The interview was funny to read, as usual, but there is nothing really new expect that they're ostensibly working on a new album (but we have hoped this anyway, didn't we?).

But there's more: Apparently, the french ELLE had, together with Disneyland Ressort Paris, produced a drawn photo spread featuring Paris' most important fashion designers, accompanied by well-known Disney characters. This spread had now been allowed to be printed in this particuliar magazine, coming along with an interview with Michael Michalsky. So whether you like fashion or Disney's world (or both), I think it's worth to have a look at it.

Wow, this was a long post, and blogger almost drove me mad while writing it, messing up pictures and letting me wait... I'll go outside now and enjoy the blue sky and the nice weather!

Why So Guessless? ^^

Ok, obviously you guys don't feel like making a guess about my new project... *hem hem*.
What a pity.
Well, as Natron phrased it so nicely, a spectre has haunted Natron & Soda (my favourite sewing community), and this spectre is a handsewn patchwork quilt, made of numerous little hexagons. At the moment, I'm still occupied with cutting out the hexagons, as soon as I actually start sewing, I'll try to show you every now and then some work in progress pictures, but if you're interested, I recomend you Ette's blog (written in German and English). She's the one who actually started the virus of handsewn quilts xD, hers is really awesome and she documents the developement really good.
So then, have a good time!

since I haven't dressed up for quite a long time, I had to take my ruffles out of the cupboard again. Yesterday, I went to a very funny picnic with some really nice guys and decided to go for something rather casual and summery:

I hope you forgive me for not wearing socks or tights, but it was just so warm!
My hair looks hideous at the moment, I absolutely have to go to the hairdresser's, so I wore my beloved brown wig instead.

Back With A New Layout

Hi everyone!

So I'm back, which means mainly that I'm going to blog here again. I hope you had such a nice July as I had! *being happy*
As you may have noticed, I've changed the layout. What do you think about it? Do you like it or not at all? Is everything readable? I'd be glad if you'd give me a short feedback, because I'm not so sure yet about the layout....

10 things about me:
In september, I'll move out and will live on my own for the first time.
I prefer being five minutes early than being five minutes late.
I'm really bad when it comes to understanding songtexts. I've got to listen to a song several times until I understand it, even when it's in german.
I've got 13 ear piercings, whereof 7 I pierced myself (whithout ever having problems).
I think that lovely lingerie is the most beautiful piece of clothing a woman can wear.
I like winter better than summer.
My favourite jewellery item are rings.
Since Lolita came into my live, my shoes collection almost doubled.
I can run 10 miles whithout a problem, although I don't look like.
If I ever own a house, I'll turn one room into a library.

Now for something different I did over the last few days, enjoying the newly gained freedom xD. I sewed another sweet lolita skirt!

I wonder why it took so long for me to realise how much I love mint green! There are two different fabrics, one with cute cupcakes and little polka dots and a plain one with bigger polka dots.

For the waistband, I made a shirring on the sides.

As you can see, I had a lot of fun with my ruffle foot xD. That's about nine meters ruffles (>.<).
I also made a matching head bow on an alice band:

Its huuugeee. ^^
Then, I tried something new and made an attempt with fimo:

I hope it's identifiable. It should be a cupcake on a pearl necklace, decorated with a pearl, rhinestones and a little bow.
The matching earrings are just pearls and bows:

Hello,

so despite the awful hot weather (when I'm grown up, I'll move notrthward xD ), I'm already thinking of autumn again - at leat concerning my wardrobe. When I saw that wonderful dark green woven fabric in the sale, I couldn't resist but make a circular skirt with matching cape.

Worn with a petticoat, the skirt gives an a-shape, which I think looks lovely with classic lolita.

For the cape, I used Natron's tutorial, which works really good.
